Princess Yaiza Retires to Stud
Our statuesque chestnut filly Princess Yaiza has been retired to her new career as a broodmare. Yaiza gave us our biggest racing thrill winning the Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp. In addition she placed in four other stakes racing against the best of her generation including Sea of Class, Magic Wand and Forever Together. Close calls in the famous Galway Premier Handicap losing by an neck and the Oyster Stakes by a half length are also on her resume. Princess Yaiza finished her race career with a Graded Stakes victory, 5 stakes placings and over $250,000 in earnings.
Princess Yaiza will move to her new home at the historic Baroda Stud in County Kildare. Breeding plans for the upcoming season have yet to be finalized. We will miss her character and determination on the racecourse and look to see the same from her upcoming foals.
