Royal Ascot 2025

It will be an exciting time for Highland Yard next week as Royal Ascot begins on Tuesday. The day prior to Royal Ascot is the boutique Goffs London Sale held in beautiful Kensington Palace Gardens in Hyde Park. Highland Yard will be presented with the sale of our Royal Ascot Stakes winning, home-bred filly Snellen. Snellen provided us a huge thrill when winning the Chesham Stakes in 2023 and has gone on to win five races to date. We are lucky enough to own her mare Illumined and own all five of Illumined’s progeny including a lovely Kingman colt born three months ago.

We will have many rooting interests over the week.

Snellen is entered to run in the Kensington Palace Stakes on Wednesday and is listed 16/1in what will be a very large field. She is fresh and in good form. We anticipate a competitive run.

Thunder Wonder is the first foal we bred out of our group Stakes winning mare Princess Yaiza. We sold him as a yearling at Tattersalls. He is coming off a win last week at Musselburgh and is entered in the Britannia Stakes on Thursday.
