Highland Yard Runners Back from Vacation

Highland Yard horses are back from winter vacation and in full training. Maiden winner Snicket who wintered at Sandhurst Thoroughbreds in Williston, Florida will kick things off racing at Aqueduct on Saturday for trainer Christophe Clement.

Bottle of Smoke, four time winner in Northern California, along with home bred Zahra and maiden winner Single Barrel are all back in training with OJ Jauregui at Golden Gate Fields. Zahra is the furthest along and will likely get a start on “Gold Rush Weekend” on April 24th.

Multiple grade stake winner Venetian Harbor is back in training with Richard Baltas at San Louis Rey with a likely start in May with a summer target of the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes at Saratoga.

It should be an action filled summer for Highland Yard runners and hopefully some photographs in winners circles across the country.
