Summer Review
An exciting summer it was. Many races have been added to the statistics section of the website including Tesoro winning a nice allowance at Golden Gate Fields and Single Barrel also getting the job done.
The most exciting development of the summer was our two-year filly Sunset Shiraz placing a second in the Group 2 Debutant Stakes at the Curragh. She relished the soft ground and beat some of the top fillies in Ireland. She has an entry in the Group 1 Molyglare Stakes on the 12th of September if the ground comes her way (pray for rain!). A photo of Sunset Shiraz striking a pose below.
Another highlight was Venetian Harbor with her third grade 1 placing, finishing second to Kentucky Oaks winner Shedaresthedevil in the Clement Hirsch Stakes at Delmar. Venetian has her sites set on a huge pot running in the $600,000 Mint Ladies Sprint at Kentucky Downs on September 11th.
We were also fortunate enough to purchase a lovely filly from exciting freshman sire Mendelsohn at the Arqana sale in Deauville, France in August. The yet to be named filly will go into training with Nicolas Clement in Chantilly.
We look forward to some great racing through the fall!
