Venetian Harbor Retired

Our star filly Venetian Harbor has been retired from the racetrack after an injury in a workout at San Luis Reyes. Venetian Harbor is recovering well and surgery will not be required. Winner of three Grade 2 stakes and second in three Grade 1 stakes, Venetian Harbor was certainly one of the top fillies in the country over the last two years. Perhaps her most impressive victory was in the Las Virgenes at Santa Anita winning that race by a 9 3/4 length margin.

It was quite a ride with her, and our partners Ciaglia Racing and Dominic Savides. Final breeding and partnership plans have yet to be finalized. She will undoubtedly have a tremendous opportunity as a broodmare.

Here is the Bloodhorse article on her retirement.
